The 43North Foundation was excited to be the beneficiary of this year's JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Buffalo, supporting the Foundation’s continued mission to build a dynamic and diverse innovation economy in Buffalo.

Each year, JPMorgan invests in a new local orgnaization as part of its commitment to partner with local communities and help them grow.

JPMorgan has a growing presence in Western New York with commercial banking and wealth management teams, and now has six branches after the reintroduction of retail banking several years ago.

Created from the proceeds of the 43North accelerator and business competition, the 43North Foundation is making a significant and sustained investment into Buffalo’s startup economy.

It is steering that investment across four strategic pillars, including creating new cutting-edge companies through its venture studio (Radial Ventures), seeding a world-class talent pool via TechBuffalo, creating a storytelling bullhorn for momentum and opportunity (Series B[uffalo]) and connecting established corporations to local startups.

Each of these economic development strategies are based on best practices from other communities that have improved from within. They are designed to be complementary with each other, and to coordinate with other community resources to create an unbroken spectrum of opportunity and support.

Investing in an entrepreneurial ecosystem that's equitable, ambitious and built to last.
