Sarah Tanbakuchi-Ripa has been named the first-ever CEO of the 43North Foundation. Tanbakuchi-Ripa is a Western New York native who has worked in law, banking and workforce development. As an executive at M&T Bank, she became immersed in the company’s ambitious technology transformation and talent attraction efforts. She went on to become CEO and president of TechBuffalo, a nonprofit focused on building a local pipeline of talent that is ready to work in tech and tech-adjacent fields.
Dan Magnuszewski has been named CEO of the newly launched 43North Venture Studio. Magnuszewski is an entrepreneur, software engineer, mentor and investor who has been heavily involved in Western New York's tech community since 2003. In 2015, he co-founded ACV Auctions, a dealer-to-dealer marketplace for used vehicles. He served as the company’s CTO until June 2021. During that time, ACV went public on the NASDAQ with a $4 billion market cap. He previously helped launch Z80 Labs, a startup incubator and $5 million seed fund in Buffalo.
